Pet Society Camera Needs Upgrade

UPDATE: The Pet Society Camera was upgraded on March 5, 2010. Thanks, Playfish! The original post below is kept only for archival purposes.

Pet Society Photo Feature

Ever notice how when you take a picture at home, you get a shot of everything except your pet? It’s like your pet is a vampire that vanishes in photos. Click and it’s poof—you’re gone!

For example, look at this shot of a stylish closet, made by a player named Jessica. This is an OK picture, but it would have been a fabulous picture if the pet was prancing around in the room!

Note that the camera works differently when outside the house. When visiting friends or the shops, the camera takes in the whole scene. So why not at home?

Another blogger, Zenn sent in this image of her Nannybot behaving stupidly:

The scene really should have looked like this:

I hope Playfish will change this so that we can make great scenes of our pets at home. Because really, where’s the fun in taking pictures of an empty room? If you feel the same way, please comment here, or better yet, sound off in the official Pet Society forum and blog.

I totally agree. Matilda doesn’t spend all those coins on clothes and other enhancements to be left out of the picture!

yeah, i always thought that was weird…and it turns in to ‘scene’ when you are at a freind’s house. i hope they fix it!!

I think this is a good modality because if I want make a screenshot of my room without my pet I can ( for example if i want add it to my blog and wanna show just my room )! If i want my pet too, I can open Pet Society and click :
    shift+ prtsc sysrq or
    ctrl+ prtsc sysrq !!!!
After this operation I must open Paint or another graphic programme, and paste it there!

So I have my pet in my photo , too! :)

True, it is easy to take screenshots, and most of the images that appear on this blog have been made via Alt + Prnt Scrn, then manipulating them in Photoshop. However, opening the image in another program, then saving it, then uploading to Facebook takes several extra steps. Wouldn’t it be nice just to be able to this with one click like you do at other pets’ homes?

I agree with santt. They should add another button which allows us to take a picture for our room, with our pet in the picture. However, I think they should not remove the button that takes a picture of our room… :)

    Dear, Pet Society Anonymous

I happen to meet Hiddeni Several times yesterday. I did not search him on purpose, but I Always found him in my friends house. Is there a change on Hiddeni somehow?

    Hi..
Today i took a pic of one of my friend’s room. Surprisingly, i found my pet captured in it. It seems pet society has upgraded their camera. Now there’s a “scene” botton replace the “room” botton. Yaaay, i like it^^.. though i miss taking the only-room pic >.<

      Airene,

I wrote that the camera does have a scene option when you’re at a friend’s house. “Note that the camera works differently when outside the house. When visiting friends or the shops, the camera takes in the whole scene.”

I would like the camera to be upgraded so that you can take the whole scene when you’re in your own home.
