This week Pet Society travels back in time to the disco era. Along with all the retro furniture and clothing, there is a very cute new fish, called the Groovy Teddyfish. It looks like it’s wearing a blue Afro. Try catching it with the Groovy Sandwich.

do all the new fish stay or are they limited? and the groovey teddyfish is so cute!
The Playfish blog did not specify that the groovy teddyfish is limited, so I’m assuming that it is here to stay. As for the other fish, there was no mention of them in the official blog.

=( I’ve already tossed in 20+ groovy sandwiches last nite & tis morning…. still nothing. But I managed to get at least 4 Green Neon Tetras~ at least there’s something new for my tank.

i used 20 groovy snadwiches before getting the afro fish! i guess this is a matter of luck

The way I catch the cool fish easily (besides wearing the Pro Fishing Gear) is that I NEVER sell any of the fish that I catch. I keep them ALL in my inventory (and one of each in my fish tanks). You can only catch a maximum of 5 of each fish (if you keep them in your inventory… and the fish in your tanks count as part of your inventory). So if you catch 5 of each of the “junk fish” (and hang onto them)… you won’t catch any more of them! That makes it MUCH easier to catch the cool fish like the Groovy Teddyfish!
It takes a while to catch all of the fish and put them into your inventory, but most of them you can catch by simply fishing with apples (and they’re cheap). There are some fish that can only be caught with certain foods, of course, but catching all of the “junk fish” also helps you catch the cool specialty fish like the watermelon fish, lemon fish, strawberry fish, etc.

i shelled out $140 for 2 sandwiches, to no avail. I got the Altum Anglefish, one I am not too crazy about, but I did get a golden white cloud! too pretty!
70 coins a sandwich? That groovy teddyfish does not come cheap.
WOW! This is the first time i saw a fish look like a teddy! I thought they could just use a fish with an afro wig and a gold chain.
Do all the other fish have to be caught with the pro fish gear?
