Are you having trouble feeding your petlings? You’re not alone. Many Pet Society players are having problems feeding the little critters. Sometimes, the food is consumed by the bigger pet. When this happens, click open your chest immediately. Your pet will stop eating mid-way and you can save the food.
The Right Way to Feed Your Petling
A sure way to feed your petling is to WAIT until it begs for food. Reserve some proper petling food in your storage. When the petling asks for an item in a thought bubble, place the food right on top of the bubble or above its head. The petling should then consume the food.
You Can’t Feed Your Friends’ Petlings
While it’s difficult to feed your own petlings, it’s impossible to feed your friends’ petlings. Here’s Sushi visiting his friend Barksha and her two little tigers. (The tiger petlings cost 25 Playfish coins at the Garden and Cash Shops.)
Aren’t they cute? I almost felt like I was visiting Sigfried & Roy. Being a good neighbor, I offered them a piece of chicken. But the petlings acted as if the food wasn’t there. And now, they’re in danger of running away.
The whole dissatisfying experience reminded me of the time when my pet failed to take out burning food from a stove. How can our pets be good neighbors to one another if we can’t help our friends in times of need?

Agreed. We should be able to feed our friends petlings if we want to. The worst thing is, when a friends petling is hungry, it pesters the living daylights out of US instead of its owner. What is with that?
it is annoying, and i say we all send playfish a request saying “can we feed our neighbor’s petlings please??”
Feeding the puppy is really annoying. It took several attempt plus he eats better than my own pet.
woah, i know it’s off topic, but the tigers can be different colored like the other dog and cat petlings? i didn’t know that… can coyotes be like that? Mine is the normal sandy color…
Actually, Im pretty sure theyre always orange. Unless you feed it a color changing biscuit. Same with coyotes too.
They did an update and now coyotes can have random colors like the cats and dogs ^^ Lovin’ it right now, will get one after my lion grows

yeah i tried that to…… we should be allowed so that the other peoples petlings won’t run away.
At the very least I would like to get the chance to notify our friends that their petlings are hungry/their food is ready, like the option Happy Pets gives you.
On the other hand I think maybe some of my friends aren’t neglecting their petlings so much as they’re simply not buying their food because it gets expensive. if you got say 5 dogs and they all want bones you’ll end up spending a lot of coins to keep them well fed.
I think the cats are the least expensive to take care of and if you stay with one of any pet it will not be 2 expensive

In answer to the color of the tiger petlings: Barksha had fed her little tigers two different colored biscuits. One was fed the pink biscuit and one was fed the light brown biscuit. Both tiger petlings have been instructed not to be so pesty and disrespectful when visitors come to visit. They told me they had actually slightly clawed the legs of little Sushi when they begged for their piece of chicken. They said that they were very sorry.
well, I think the petlings are begging to you, not to the master :p
